Winners and a serious plea for help!

Oops. So the day sort of got away from me. But, it is still Monday so I still have time to announce the winners of our little Valentine's day giveaway. First of all, Congratulations to Michelle Bagwell for being the first commenter and automatic winner. And Congratulations to Andrea, my husband randomly chose you as the second winner. I will be contacting you both shortly to get your mailing info and you can look forward to your trays and chocolate very soon!

But wait, there's more...that's my favorite part of infomercials! Since there was only 7 of you who thought these little heart trays were as cute as I did, and since they are only $1.99 each, I'm going to give one to everyone else also! If you still want one, just email me at {askthebestme@gmail.com} with your mailing address in the next 3 days and I will be happy to send one your way.

OK, here is where I need some serious help. My 9 year old daughter rips holes in the knees of her pants faster than I can buy them for her and I am tired of it. My son gets holes in his knees as well, but not nearly as fast. I generally buy her jeans at Old Navy because they are cheap, but I'm thinking that this is one of those cases of you get what you pay for. The last few pairs have felt so thin that I knew they weren't going to last very long. So, where do you buy your children jeans, and are they sturdy enough to withstand a girl who for some reason cannot help but crawl around on her hands and knees?

Just to clarify, I thought the trays were indeed adorable and even told Uncle John about them but opted not to enter to give others a greater chance to win. Just didn't want you thinking others didn't think they were cute!

Oh, and I'm probably too far out of those years to be of much help on the pants problem but actual Levi brand always seemed to hold up better when my kids were little.

I agree with the above comment that one, I thought the trays were cute too and meant to come back and leave a comment but forgot. Oh well, now I have an excuse to go to IKEA...love that place!!!

And I will also agree that Levi's are the best! You can sometimes get them at Costco for cheap or I get them half off at Kohl's or JCPenney. I have also bought Old Navy jeans and they are fine for my 9 year old because she lives with her nose in a book and that generally won't tear pants, but I mostly stick with Levis for all 3 kiddos.

I agree w/ the others, Levi's seem to last longer, but we have also had good luck w/ l.e.i. jeans @ wal-mart. Yes, Wal-Mart. :)

I haven't tried Levi's yet but I do have a pair for Ava in the next size up so I can't say yet whether or not they are good. However I just wanted to let you know that I got them at Nordstrom Rack and that might be a good place to check too. I've had good luck with the pants I've bought there. (Remember those ones I sent to Macy? How did they hold up?)

I too must agree the trays were cute. I think Aeropastle jeans are good. They are always having sales. My daughter did not like the way Levi's fit her so I can not comment on those. Macy's has great sales on clothes online and in store.

I remember back in the day of the dinosaurs that boys jeans would come with iron on patches on the knees. They would be on the inside. Made the knees alittle stronger. I would sometimes buy these iron on patches and put them on the inside of the jean knees if they did not have one. The patches were about size 5 x 7. Who knows, but they can become summer shorts when they wear through.

@Jenn, thoses jeans you sent Macy lasted for quite a while, but the reason I never sent them back is because she did eventually rip holes in them.

@Betty, Last year I ironed patches in every single pair of jeans I bought the kids and they ripped through all of them, so I stopped doing it. They did make them last just a little bit longer though, so perhaps I should do it again.

Paisley does the same thing and I've yet to find Paisley proof pants! Although now that we live in florida she wears shorts every day... I buy alot of their clothes from old navy, but the quality is cheap! Gap is better, but I only but on sale there! My sister in law loves Target and she said they will replace the Circo brand clothing if they wear out. I'm not sure on the details of that, I just know she returned some jeans and they replaced them.

PS those heart trays are so cute! I had a hard time finding molds for our crayon project! They were always 8-10 dollars so I finally bought the easter ones and still they were $3!
