Toddler Chair Redo

Seriously. Talk about bad luck! First Sally's camera and now mine. Sally fortunately has the kind of camera that breaks and you take it somewhere to get fixed. I have the kind of camera that breaks and you say "Oh well. I guess it's time for a new one." Although I haven't had this camera long so I wasn't really ready for a new one. I guess this is what I get for buying a pink camera because "it's cute" without really paying attention to brand or quality.

It is however my birthday this week so I put a little birdie in the MR.'s ear that I want a new camera. (I was hoping to get a computer program for my Cricut but I guess that will just have to wait.) So hopefully by the end of the week I'll be back up and running like normal.

So now, without a camera, I have to come up with a post good enough to follow "The Best Soup Ever". That's a lot of pressure people! So the solution I came up with is to do a "re-post". This is a project I did about a year and a half ago but I'm pretty proud of it. Those of you who have been with this blog since the beginning may have already seen this. Hopefully you will have forgotten it by now and can enjoy it as a new post.

Ava's Great Grandma bought this chair for her at a garage sale and I immediately loved it. Right away I saw potential.

I set out for Hobby Lobby hoping for inspiration and I came across this adorable fabric. I used it to make a seat cushion for the chair. I also used it as a guide for what color I wanted to paint the chair. I chose to match the blue.

So after a little sanding, priming, painting, and a small amount of sewing I turned the garage sale chair into this:

The girls love it. It moves from room to room and the cushion has been used as a make-shift pillow for dolls on countless occasions. Thanks Great Grandma for the great find!

you did such a great job! love the colors love the fabric. maybe you could step back a bit more and lower the camera to get a more professional picture. but seriously GOOD JOB, i don't think i could ever do that.

and good idea to do a repost. some posts are so good we have to revisit :)
