not to "tote" my own horn....
Okay, yeah, I want to toot my own horn a bit. A few months ago Chris came home with a surprise gift. A sewing machine! I've been telling him for a while that I wanted to learn to sew and it was very sweet of him to surprise me like that. For a few months the sewing machine just sat while I wasn't brave enough to try anything. Finally a few days ago Chris and I were in Grand Junction (the "city" around here) and I was able to go to a fabric store. Chris was so sweet to watch Ava while I browsed around. I wanted to start with a skirt but realized I didn't want to measure and make a skirt around my pregnant belly, so I ended up buying a pattern for a Tote. I have to say, even though it isn't perfect, and that handles could use some serious work, I am very proud of myself for at least doing it. Now I have the confidence to keep sewing and I'm very excited. So here is a picture of my reversible tote.
